Why do Americans still support Mr. Trump? Are Americans stupid? No, Americans aren’t stupid, they are not childish

W.Minh Tuan

In the current race for the White House in the US, former US President Donald Trump is at the most disadvantage, because he is being tried by different types of courts for all kinds of crimes that he has been accused of committing, causing by him.

The truth is, Mr. Trump is not a perfect person, he has made many mistakes, and the allegations that the courts are using as evidence to try him are mostly real, not fabricated.

The majority of American public opinion knows that.

But the American public opinion does not need anyone to teach them that Mr. Trump is not a perfect person.

The majority of American voters do not need anyone to teach them that Mr. Trump will be a dictator, a tyrant, anti-democratic, an image of Hitler…

Therefore, when Mr. Trump’s presidential candidate opponents, and most of the press, take turns defaming Mr. Trump, taking turns teaching American public opinion that Mr. Trump is anti-democratic and dictatorial, the majority of American voters still support Mr. Trump.

Why?

Are Americans stupid?

No, if Americans were stupid, they could not build the most powerful country in the world, the most influential country in the world, a country that any other country in the world would want to have relations with, to do business with,  and anyone is eager to receive support from America.

No. Americans are not stupid.

Americans are not children, not need to be taught.

American voters don’t need anyone to educate them.

The problem is that the majority of American voters do not care much about Mr. Trump’s ethics or Mr. Trump’s criminal cases, but Americans care more about who will make America’s situation better and safer, more secure, more stable, more developed, with more jobs, less involved in conflicts and wars around the world.

Therefore, it seems that Mr. Trump’s rival candidates, and current US President Biden, are just like punching to the wind, punching to the air, when attacking Mr. Trump by bringing up issues that the majority of American voters do not care much about.

In 2023, current US President Biden seems very confident in his ability to be re-elected, when Mr. Trump is dragged to courts, questioned, and then photographed by mug-face-to identify himself as the same as of On-the street- criminals, then being taught by Judge in court, “Answer yes or no, don’t give a long statement”, at that time Mr. Biden was very confident.

At that time, Mr. Biden hardly mentioned anything about Mr. Trump, letting the courts dealing with Mr. Trump, and only mentioned Mr. Trump once, just to joke and mock his mug-face-identity of Trump that was captured by the court, saying “handsome guy”.

But in early 2024, just a few days after the 2024 Tet holiday, Mr. Biden seemed extremely worried about Mr. Trump’s leading compared to his opponents in the Republican party, and compared to Mr. Biden of the Democratic party.

In just the first week of January 2024, Mr. Biden gave 2 major speeches to directly criticize Mr. Trump, on 2 major topics:

1-Mr. Trump broke the US Constitution, and incited the destruction of the US Capitol building 3 years ago, protesting the election results of Mr. Biden as US President in 2020.

2-Mr. Trump is the embodiment of anti-democracy, anti-freedom, Mr. Trump is the image of Hitler.

Mr. Biden again sought to educate American voters about Mr. Trump’s moral issues, and that means Mr. Biden repeated his old mistakes of 2023, continuing to hit the air, slash at the wind, because Mr. Biden failed to raise the issues that American voters really care about.

What issues are Americans concerned about?

1-Employment, jobs, sallary

2-Economic development.

3-Security, safety, little involvement in conflicts around the world, which not caused by the US.

On all three issues above, Mr. Biden is failing to address.

What about Mr. Trump?

He has a very simple policy, and it seems dangerous for some countries in the world, but not directly dangerous for US interests.

1-Regarding the economy, Mr. Trump will continue the policies of reducing taxes and increasing investment like his previous term, 2016-2020. Anyone also clearly sees that the US economy under Mr. Trump is better than today, under Mr. Biden.

2-In terms of security and defense, Mr. Trump’s time is also safer, there is no war in Ukraine, no Gaza war.

Many people say that if Mr. Trump were President of the United States today, the wars in Ukraine and Gaza would still happen.

Maybe so.

But it could also be different.

Mr. Trump can talk to Mr. Putin more easily than Mr. Biden. And the situation may be different.

What about other presidential candidates?

For now, there is not much to say, because they are far behind Mr. Trump’s points.

When the Republican Party officially selects its candidate for President of the United States, there will be many things to talk about.

Currently, only Mr. Trump is leading among all US presidential candidates, so we are temporarily only interested in Mr. Trump.

The only thing we know is that American public opinion is not childish, Americans are not stupid, and do not need to be taught.

Which candidate can answer and respond to the daily concerns of the majority of American voters, that person will win the election in November 2024.

Issues such as democracy or tyranny, morality or kindness, are only secondary issues, not directly related to the daily interests of the majority of the American people. ///
